Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Thank you for all of the prayers, cards, concern and love you showered on me during the little visit with “the virus”.  As the Dr. mentioned, if one is going to get it, get it like the one I had.  I am doing very well.  And the gifts of food – well that is another story.  I was so taken care of with delicious gifts to my taste buds.  I did lose my appetite for a while, but when it returned the food tasted like angel food.  Church, believe me when I say that your love, kindness, heart felt respect expressed openly to me is evidence of your love  for our God who heals.  Never, ever take the fellowship and unity present in this body as normal.  We are blessed.  We need to thank our Father frequently for His gifts and His ever active mercy, and especially, His love and saving grace.

Dear brothers & sisters:

As you all are aware, it is that time of year for tax forms of all kinds being sent to us!  Among these is the 2020 Tax Receipt for your qualifying donations to the Athens Church of Christ.  

Normally, you have received these at one of the physical church services (Thank you, Sandy Woods), but that is not possible this year.  We would prefer to send them electronically and will begin doing that in the next day or two.  If this will not work for you, you may contact me (see the information below) and let me know what will work.

Please note that many of you will be getting two or three receipts.  This is due to our having used Pushpay as our online platform earlier this year and Tithe.ly for the rest of the year.  If you receive multiple receipts, the total of all of them is the amount we show you gave in 2020.  If there are discrepancies with your records and the receipt(s), please let me know.

Our world has sped up to a relentless and unbearable pace.  This book explores how Jesus’ yoke is easy and his burden is light. He gives us rest for our souls.  Jesus was never in a hurry and yet he still accomplished God’s will.
 
This will be a relaxed and fun environment. No pressure! If you haven’t read the chapter, still feel free to join and absorb the conversation. This is a non-stressful way to connect with each other and with Jesus.
