Prayer Requests

Carol Clark’s sister Dora Ann Appleby passed away on May 30th. Please pray for Carol and the family as they grieve her loss. Cards of sympathy may be sent to Carol and the family at 120 Conrad Drive, Athens, GA 30606.

Andrea DeLorenzo had great platelet numbers and she was able to start her 11th chemo treatment out of 12 on Tuesday. Continue to pray for Andrea as she is in the home stretch of her chemo treatments.

Teresa Howard continues to heal from total knee replacement surgery. Please continue to pray for Teresa’s recovery.

Dona Stephenson’s father Ed Beck is recovering from a massive stroke. He is making progress every day. Dona is in Jefferson City, Missouri to support and encourage him as he recovers. Please continue to pray for Ed’s recovery.

Prayers for safe travel for John & Delaney Crawford and Elliott Hood as they head to Paris, France today to work with the church there in June. John and Delaney will be changing their SIM cards in their phones when they get to Paris so their normal numbers will not be working. They will find a way to communicate while they are gone.

WOMEN’S MIDWEEK TONIGHT!
Because this week is Vacation Bible School in the evenings at the church building, please enter through the side doors of the sanctuary for women’s midweek. Also, please use the bathroom behind the baptistry for tonight.

NEW START DATE!

Due to Memorial day and July 4 we are moving the start date of the Carrying One Another’s Burdens to Saturday June 12 at 9:00 am. This will also give those attending more time to read the two books we will be referencing and to study the scriptures that pertain to the topic. There is still room if you want to sign up. Reply to this email or contact Terry Morrow at 770-337-4455 if you have any questions.

COVID 19 PROTOCOLS:
Based on the latest information from the Georgia Dept. of Health, we are revising our Covid 19/mask protocol as follows. Please know that we will be reviewing our protocols every few weeks as things continue to change and progress.

Updated Guidance from The Elders:
For gatherings of any size inside the building where 3 feet of distance cannot be maintained, masks are required for those ages 2 and up who are not fully vaccinated.  Please keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated or if you choose not to get vaccinated.  From the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention via the Georgia Department of Public Health:
“If you are fully vaccinated, you can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing.  In general, people are considered fully vaccinated:
·        2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
·        2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are not fully vaccinated.  Also. if you have a condition or are taking medications that weaken your immune system, you may not be fully protected even if you are fully vaccinated. Talk to your healthcare provider. Even after vaccination, you may need to continue taking all precautions.”
