Andrea DeLorenzo received her 6th chemo treatment of 12 on Monday. She is grateful her platelets went up. She has been eating a papaya each day because they bring her platelets up. She usually feels good on Mondays and Tuesdays and then feels pretty crummy on Wednesdays and Thursdays and part of Friday and feels okay on the weekends. Meal Train on Hold Until July for DeLorenzo Family (from Tara Gentry)
Hello everyone.
First, I want to first say a big “THANK YOU” for the love and support everyone has given to the DeLorenzo family. The meals have been a tremendous help! After communication with both Mike and Andrea, I was asked to remove the month of May. They asked that we take a break from sending meals until after Andrea’s surgery. Once she has surgery, the DeLorenzo family will need help again. I have posted new dates starting July 21th.

Ludlow Lawson thanks everyone for praying for him and says the prayers are working! The surgery was successful and he is at home recuperating and healing fast! Linda Minter is back from seeing family in New York after her father’s passing. Please continue to keep Linda and the family in your prayers. Mollie Mostert is in Pakistan encouraging the churches there. Please pray for her safety and the safety of those hosting her.

On Sunday, April 25th at 11 AM, we will be partnering with our sister churches around Atlanta and the surrounding areas for an All Atlanta/GA Livestream Service!

The worship service will feature a combined worship team with singers and musicians from our various churches, and we’ll have the chance to hear from speakers around the region as well. Our own Kindred Howard will be preaching the message.

Though it will be pre-recorded, we will still be meeting with our Athens Church of Christ family (for those who feel safe participating) to watch in-person, enjoy the fellowship and participate in worship together.

This is sure to be an inspiring time to unite with our brothers and sisters around the Atlanta metro region as we strive through His Spirit to be truly Faithful Together.

We will have our normal kids’ kingdom activities/classes/childcare as well.

“Carry One Another’s Burden”

Greetings Family,
After a much needed break we are ready to continue with the series “Carry One Another’s Burdens”. The classes will be every two weeks beginning on Saturday morning May 1 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. There are 7 sessions. This series is a transformation of perspective. In order to carry someone’s burden we must understand it enough to have empathy for them. Our own experience, perception, and biased views can blind us from having this understanding and limit our ability to love someone that is not like us. Jesus told us to bring the nations together in his kingdom. This series will help us do that, to have closer relationships, and much more. Church Wide Garage Sale

May 1st

7:30am – 2pm

All proceeded go to Generosity Sunday special contribution. There are 2 ways to participate:
1) Drop off any items for the garage sale starting Wednesday, April 28 at the church (times TBA). Please be aware if things are unsold they will be donated to charity . We cannot hold items to be picked up.
2. Rent a space for $25.00 and you will be responsible for your items as well as coverage for the day. Some members may want to give money from the garage sale for tax purposes.
**Please note after 2:30pm on May 1, we will not be able to house any sold or unsold items at the church.
