MARRIAGE RETREAT UPDATE: PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THIS WEEKEND! TRAVEL UPDATE!
Construction and delays have been pretty significant along Hwy 129 and I 85 up to through the Gainesville area. Friday will probably be the same so anticipate longer travel time to Amicalola Falls Friday afternoon. You might want to consider an alternate route via Hwy 441 through Commerce to Cornelia and then over to Cleveland, Dahlongea and over to Amicalola Falls Lodge and State Park. If you go this alternate route up through Dahlonega, there are a number of restaurants you can stop at in Dahlonega and eat an early dinner. It’s about a 25 minute drive from Dahlonega up to Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge. I would use either Google maps or the Waze app for alternative directions with your mobile phone.
If you use Hwy 129 through Gainesville, you are probably looking at 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get to Amicalola Lodge on Friday. Just wanted to make everyone aware of the traffic congestion that is causing delays through that area. Look forward to seeing those of you are attending! Have a safe trip!

Saturday (March 19th)
7:00-9:00 am. Breakfast in Lodge Restaurant (please remember your meal ticket)
10:15 am: Session 1 Randy and Theresa Scott
11:15 am: Break
11:30 am: Session II Break out sessions (Randy/Theresa Scott- Marrieds 25 years or more); Joseph/Lisa Washington (Newly marrieds to 24 years)
12:30 pm: Lunch in Lodge Restaurant (please remember your meal ticket)
2:00 pm: Session III Break Out Session (Men- Randy Scott; Ladies- Theresa Scott)
2:45 pm: Break
3:00-3:20 pm Close out Session Q and A (men/women together) “What did you learn?”
3:20-3:30 pm Closing remarks
