Habitat Build Sign-Up
We have an opportunity to help build a home with Athens Area Habitat for Humanity! We get to serve on a construction site on Saturday, October 29th, from 9 AM – 3 PM. Ben Barnett would like to invite you on Sunday, 9/25 for an interactive workshop on how to engage more effectively and collaboratively with our local neighbors during their time of need. This workshop has had great impact on many of our sister churches across the US – see comments from Dr. Kevin Broyles below.
Noelle and I were able to attend this workshop last week – it was truly amazing!! As you know, Noelle and I have been serving others for decades, but this workshop really challenged our thinking about our neighbors and the way we serve! It was good stuff. I am sincere when I say that this workshop was truly transformative, every disciple with a desire to serve others would benefit from this workshop.

Leonard Patat and his mom Alberta live off South Milledge close to the bypass. Due to physical limitations, they need rides to the church building to be a part of the fellowship. No lifting is required, but Leonard is blind and needs direction to get out of the car and into their apartment and Alberta needs someone to hold on to for stability. We hope to involve as many as possible to assist and get to know the Patat’s. On House Church Sundays, they would like to meet with the group(s) that is/are meeting at the church building, so house church Sundays are included in this sign up.
From Oscar Copeland Within the past week my stepson Victor shared with me that his wife Yvette was given treatment to remove pre breast cancerous cells. I spoke with Yvette and she says treatment is going well. She welcomes prayer.

Grieving From Anthony and Patsy Alford Mike and Chloe Rowell have been two of our best friends for many years. Chloe passed recently from a long battle with cancer. We ask for prayers on their behalf.
Mission Trip Perry and Katherine Hearn are in Moldova with the Revivee 3.0 Team.The Hearns ask for prayers that God will help them be effective in helping others to be closer to God and that they also will grow closer to God while in Moldova. They will return the middle of November. Update: Thank you for your prayers for the team members who were sick with a bad virus. All are better now.
