Gwendolyn’s Gratefulness to the Church

My dear brothers and sisters, thank you for the overwhelming support given me last year as I was finally awarded the Degree in Studio Art from Mercer University. I am honored to be able to march in the 2021 Commencement Service of the Class of 2021 this Monday May 17, 2021. I graduated with a degree in Biology in 1972 and will now march across the stage at Mercer to complete the graduation process for the degree in Studio Art I earned over 49 years ago.
Thank you for your prayers for Victor also, I’m so grateful he is here with me. God has blessed us immensely since his diagnosis almost 7 years ago. I believe God’s goodness is all around us all the time. I’m very grateful to Him, for orchestrating events and weaving my life experiences in such a way as to truly recognize divine intervention.
His love never fails! 1 Cor. 13: 8.
Your sister,
Gwendolyn Payton

The services can be viewed online at 8:15am on Monday: https://www.mercer.edu/commencement/macon/

THANK YOU for all your prayers for my recent trip to visit our four churches in Pakistan, plus Beirut.
Prayers for safety were definitely vital on this trip. As we were making a road trip from Rawalpindi, near their capital, to Peshawar, on the border with Afghanistan, usually a two hour trip, we were stuck for three hours. When we were able to move, we realized the road was blocked by riots. We could see the police with their big guns and the rioters with their big sticks. Having a white, Christian American in the evangelist’s car would be a serious threat, if I had been seen.
Many thanks to the elders for financial support, to all those who gave donatíons of cash and children’s underwear. The poverty for disciples in Pakistan is beyond describing. Every dollar, every item is received with huge amounts of gratitude.
Your sister.
Mollie Mostert
