Merry Christmas Brothers and Sisters!
With all the busyness of this year and the things going on in our family, the Howards did not make and mail our normal Christmas cards. (Bah, Humbug!!)
But we still wanted to take a moment to wish all our brothers and sisters in Christ here in Athens a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thank you for all the encouragement and support you have given us as a family and me as an evangelist over the last year. Please know that we love you and appreciate your support, friendship, and partnership in the gospel!
Merry Christmas everyone! And may our God who abounds in love, compassion, grace, and mercy bless and be with us in the new year!
In Christ,
Kindred & Meredith
Another Encouraging Note!!
GOD IS BLESSING THE CHURCH IN ETHIOPIA
I wanted to let all of you know that God is truly blessing the faith and perseverance of our brothers and sisters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. For years the disciples in Addis have persevered as a small church in size but devoted in heart. When we first visited in 2019, they had not witnessed anyone baptized into Christ in years, had no full time evangelist, and many felt discouraged in their faith. But with your help and generosity, we were able to finance full-time interns and a full-time evangelist, Berhanu, as well as include the staff in Addis virtually in our own Summer Intern & Discipleship Training last summer.
Since then it has been amazing and glorifying to God! Over the last few months, God has worked miracles in the hearts of men and women through his disciples in Addis. Numerous people have been baptized into Christ, including the first married couple in close to twenty years! And the disciples there are currently studying the Bible with many more eager to know Jesus. In fact, Berhanu tells me that within a few weeks the number of new disciples will outnumber those who were disciples at the beginning of the year.
In addition, the church is raising up young leaders, including a young brother named Nahum who first came to church when we were there visiting. In February, Nahum will become the first intern raised up within the Addis church itself! And all this is happening during the covid pandemic!
Thanks again to all of you for your faith, generosity, prayers, and enthusiasm in supporting the church in Ethiopia. May God continue to bless our faith and our unity with our brothers and sisters in Addis!
God Bless,
Kindred
