Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Thanksgiving week is almost here! It is such a wonderful time to slow down and spend some time thanking God for how He has blessed us! I found this fun family activity that you can do to help your children focus on being grateful no matter what their age. It comes from Activity #3 on this site:
Gratitude Lessons for Children
The lesson in the Children’s Ministry class this coming Sunday will be from Activity #1. Be on the lookout Sunday for those M&M’s to come home! It’s a yummy way to focus on being grateful!
Gratitude Hunt
What you need:
A scavenger hunt list (Use the one below or make up your own.)
Instructions: Dedicate a length of time in your day to get out and about in your home and neighborhood. As you are exploring, take your scavenger hunt list with you and check the items you find off your list. Talk about why each item is so special and how blessed you are to have it in your lives. Give your children new ways to thank God for these blessings and encourage them to give the same sorts of blessings to others.
Find something you’re thankful for that…
