The book recommendation for this week will help you to better understand your child and his/her strengths and how to help them navigate in a loud and busy world. We ALL have our strengths and have something to give – extroverts, introverts, and everyone in between! This book is helpful in all relationships, not just between parent and child. I highly recommend this book:

Children’s Ministry Update
All of our children’s ministry volunteer positions have been filled for this year! I am so grateful for the hearts of the people in this ministry! If you need a reminder for when you volunteered, the list of CM volunteers is attached here: 2023 Children’s Ministry Volunteers. I send out a reminder email to volunteers at the beginning of each month with specific information for that month. Rotations are every four months. If you are unable to serve one week when you are scheduled, the best way to get a sub is to trade a week with someone on a different rotation who works with the same age group of children as you do. There are also a few subs on the attached list. If you are willing to be a volunteer on the sub list, let me know. Our beloved brother Ludlow Lawson is engaged and soon to be married. There will be a basket for cards and gifts cards on the welcome center at the church entrance. The basket will be out until June 11. Ludlow and Andrea will be so encouraged!
Opportunity to meet a need in the family! Mark and Joanna Martin need childcare the week of June 12 from 8-5 each day for their 7-month-old daughter, Autumn. Joanna needs to do training at UGA for work, and Mark just got a new job. They have been unable to get someone to watch Autumn for that week. They will pay for the babysitting, and it is fine if people split the days. Please call Joanna at (404) 433-5606 if you can help any or all of that week.

Camp Swamp summer sessions have begun! There are still plenty of openings for the second Family Camp at the end of the summer (7/26-29).
Shining Stars Performing Arts Camp will unfortunately need to be cancelled this summer. Our dear sister Carrie Kelsie is facing a very recently diagnosed serious health situation and has requested our prayers.

Kinson and Sheyla Desir are moving to New York on June 19. They have taken a ministry position in Weschester, NY. We want to celebrate this amazing family before they move. Holte Gardens Open House This event has been rescheduled for June 17 @ 9AM-1PM. Click the link to see details on all three pages. This event will benefit Marva Cheapoo’s dream project – a school in Liberia, West Africa. RSVP is encouraged.

Campus Ministry: ICMC July 6 – 9 Norman, OK
