Men’s Midweek

 Announcements

 Calling on our brothers! The sisters are in need of two men to play with any kids who come to the women’s midweeks. You can take them to the playground or play inside in one of the classrooms. Text any questions to Betty Roepe at (678) 643-7831. Please sign up here: Women’s Midweek Childcare.

 The ACOC Co-ed Softball Team is seeking additional members! We are going into our 4th season as a softball team at ACOC and need your help! We are in need of two more female players for the fall ball season. Here’s the criteria:
1) Must be 18 years or older
2) Willing to have FUN and play ball
Games are Monday evenings for 8 games beginning the week of August 14.

I have spent all of my career with six, seven, and eight-year-olds. That is such a wonderful age full of curiosity, learning, and activity. They love to play games, but it’s not always all FUN in the games. Inevitably the game ends and only one child or one team comes out as the winner of the game. No one likes to lose. Learning how to lose gracefully is a skill that must be taught – it does not come naturally to most children. Letting children win all the time is not helpful for them as they learn coping skills for life…and, if you have more than one child, it can get quite tricky!
