August 25, 2023
Please join us for in-person worship this Sunday, August 27 @ 10:30 AM on the UGA campus!
The service will be in the Miller Learning Center (MLC) Room 102.
Parking will be at the Tate Student Deck and is FREE on Sundays!
Parking Address: 705 S. Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA 30605
Room 102 is on the bottom floor of the MLC and is only a short walk from the parking deck. The map below shows the parking deck and the location of the room relative to that.
We will have access to Room 102 starting at 10:00 AM. We ask that everyone try to arrive in room 102 by 10:15 AM. There will be campus students directing people from the deck to the MLC. There will NOT be childcare provided; the congregation will be all together for a service that will last about an hour. There are elevators in the Tate deck and the room in the MLC can be easily accessed via wheelchair if needed.
Great News! The Athens Women’s daytime Bible study group (God’s Girls) is expanding. A new group (Young at Heart) is forming for the Winder/Jefferson area.
Our topic for both groups beginning Thursday, September 21, will be based on “What Now, God? Finding God in Transitions” by Jeanie Shaw. God’s people experienced transitions that affected their relationship with God. The same is true for us today. As we reflect on our own personal transition struggles, we pray this study and discussion time will lead us all back to the heart of God, reminding us we are not alone. Teresa Howard will be bulk ordering this book. Let her know ASAP at teresahowarddoula@gmail.com if you want to be included in this book order.
