Kids Moment Updates

We read in the Bible where Jesus saw needs and served others by washing his Disciples feet. We discovered that we are God’s servants and we found ways to serve around our church. The kids made cards for the sick, made encouragement balloons for our members, and picked up trash. There are lots of ways to serve others around you every day. Let’s look for those moments to encourage and help others, just like Jesus!

WHAT’S NEW?

We recently had a parent’s meeting to gather information about what you guys want to see in your Children’s Ministry. Here are some of the things we heard:

1) We want the kids to enjoy coming to class;
2) We need less sitting down to do a lesson and more lesson integrated play time;
3) We would like to try mixed age classes (with the exception of under schoolers (kids under kindergarten);
4) We would like to use GroupMe to communicate.

We have taken this information and changed our format. We will now all gather at the beginning of class for group lesson and worship, then break out into mixed age groups for fun games and activities to reinforce our lessons. The kids will learn about God through play. We will have another meeting Tuesday, May 4th at 7:30pm.

ARE THERE OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE?

I’m so glad you asked. Of course there are always areas to serve within the Children’s Ministry.

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS
We will be providing childcare on the Wednesday nights that our women meet. We would love volunteers so that we can help these ladies get some much needed time in services and fellowship. We are asking for the moms to RSVP to secure a spot!
SUNDAYS
We will be providing children’s classes for In-Person Sunday services. This will include kids up to 5th grade. We would love your help showing these kids God’s love for them. Click on the button below to pick your month.
VBS
We are excited to announce that Rocky Railway VBS is headed into the station on June 7-11th from 5:30pm – 8:30pm. Climb aboard for mountains of fun at Rocky Railway! On this faith-filled adventure, kids discover that trusting Jesus pulls them through life’s ups and downs. Click the button below to help us get this train going in the right direction.

Each Sunday there is a “KidsMoment” where we take 5 minutes during our regular service to bring a fun Bible lesson to the kids.
